If you have any gently used gym shoes or children’s picture books, we are collecting them to go to school children in Liberia West Africa. We are supporting the Liberian Children’s Ministry, led by Joe Boway. For 14 years, civil war shut down most Liberian schools. As a result, more than half of all adults in Liberia are illiterate. Joe and his family started this work as a way to educate children in jungle regions of Liberia. Joe now oversees 15 schools with more than 6,500 students. You can bring shoes and books to Family In Faith at 1480 Bloomingdale Road here in Glendale Heights.
